Supervision for Practicing Psychotherapists

it's okay poster

Dr. Glickson has followed the field of supervision since 1976. Her doctoral dissertation, comparing "ideal" and "typical" supervision experiences, from the points of view of both supervisor and supervisee, was presented in 1980. She maintains a deep familiarity with the literature addressing supervision, and continually updates her library to include new articles and books from across the wide variety of perspectives in the field.

Dr. Glickson was trained at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, which pioneered supervision, by clinical psychologists, of psychiatry residents alongside psychology interns. She has been supervising mental health professionals herself since 1985.

Dr. Glickson supervises practitioners in groups or individually. She has provided consultation on dissertations and publications. She has advised many applicants to MSW, PsyD and PhD programs, as well as to analytic institutes. She has advised countless practitioners in establishing, maintaining and winding down practices, as well as in addressing specific cases or practice-related challenges.  She is now collaborating with Melissa Friedman, PhD to provide these services at their offices at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.

Dr. Glickson is a recognized mentor and consultant for networking and practice-building advice.
